I almost didn't take this B-wing to Wonderfest. Th I almost didn't take this B-wing to Wonderfest. There's nothing special about it. But it was just a very enjoyable build and I was quite pleased with how it turned out. Evidently the judges agreed and awarded me a silver medal for it. I think there is a lesson in there somewhere. There is so much talent on display there every year and seeing all of that makes me really want to push myself to improve my skills. It was humbling to be among them and even more so to be recognized as I was.

I haven't done a whole lot of figures over the years and it shows in my mediocre paint job on Elastigirl. However, I was able to achieve a nice and real deep candy with gold flakes on the Elastibike. I really wasn't expecting the bronze award I earned for it.

There were a few people that this was a heavily modified version of the old AMT Space Station K7 kit when in fact, this was the wonderful 1/1000 scale kit from @themodelwerkshop with an added base extension by me. I didn't enter with the goal to win awards, but this build did earn me a bronze award.

When I originally built the Bozeman, it was with the intention of photography, rather than a display piece. As a result, it was a little bit "crunchy." Having knowledge of that made receiving a merit award satisfying. The Bozeman started out as a 1st release AMT USS Reliant with add-on parts from @themodelwerkshop and a whole slew of aftermarket bits and bobs to get to this point.
