Stuck in the house for the past four days and the news of the Haslab Spengler Pack shipping, inspired me to finish some lingering projects. I had tore apart my stunt ghost trap about the same time I started to restore my proton pack... **years** ago. I was on a budget of time and money the first time I built it. Like the pack, it was mostly foamcore board, found objects and pieces if sign foam. I left the basic form untouched and as Adam Savage would say, "crunchy." I knew I wanted to replace the detail bits with printed parts. I've been slowly printing said parts in between print jobs and now finally got around to finishing them. The original pedal did not survive and I ended up using most of the countspatula design off of Thingiverse. Not perfect, but it isn't supposed to be. If it's not sitting on the floor as shown, it's gonna be hanging off my belt, getting beat to hell, like all props do. Now off to finishing my new belt gizmo... #3dprinting #making #modelmaking #propreplicas #propmaking #proprestoration #ghostbusters
Sometimes I don't feel like proper regular mainten Sometimes I don't feel like proper regular maintenance of equipment is emphasized enough as an essential part of making. Maybe because it doesn't make for a "sexy" social media post. Anyway, after thousands of hours and countless prints, I'm breaking down my trusty MK3, cleaning, tightening and replacing (if any) parts that need to be. I want to be able to continue to be able to call it "trusty". That's all I wanted to say. Back to work... #3dprinting #making #maintenance #prusa

I'm not sure what I would have said if in 1983 I was told that in 2022 I would be entering BASIC on essentially an emulator of an over 40 year old computer. 🤷‍♂️ Anyway, I'm finding it is helping me lately to decompress and relax. Who knew? Only seven and a half more pages of code to get through before I find out how crappy this game is or not. That all said, I'm working through some things, and hopefully I get back to posting more interesting things sooner than later... #idontevenwanttobotherwithhashtagsrightnow
I do love technology... when it works! I had downl I do love technology... when it works! I had downloaded and printed the large aft shuttle bay from Modelwerks' Enterprise B upgrade kit. The original kit part is behind it. I wish more companies would offer the "print it yourself" option. I like being able to make adjustments with resins or even the part itself to suit my build. Not to mention having the freedom to reprint should something goes wrong... which **never** happens... <cough>...Anyway, I'm on a bit of a Trek kick, as you can see with this and my last post. Though I do have some other things happening, hopefully I can get some pictures taken and actually get them posted! That is all for now. #3dprinting #modelmaking #modelbuilding #excelsior #enterprise #startrek #process
